La La Bye

World keeps spinning around, we wish we can run faster than the time.

“Where you wanna go?” He asked me quietly trying to not break our silent moment. I hummed and slowly turned the radio down. It was almost 2 am and we hadn't planned to step into the next day this fast, yet too bad, we were already in it.

I looked at him, put my swollen face away. “We still have time, don’t we?” i softly murmured.

He blew a sigh, brushing his messy ultimate golden hair. He always did it when he’s anxious or frustrating. But before i interrupted, geez, he chuckled helplessly. “Yeah, unless in 3 counts you can't find the place. 1, 2...”

“Okay, Griffith!” I grinned happily, even i still didn't know why i chose that boring place at the first place. It just popped up in my head anyway. “I want to go to Griffith Park. No more asking why, because we run out of time if you don't ride your car in 3, 2..”

And then he pushed the pedal hastily before i could blink an eye. He was just furious and fast at the same time.

We arrived in 27 mins later. You must be thought that it only took 10 mins because he drove like a donkey but he was not. He was slow like a sloth. Because we sang along together at the mustang, laughing at Vitas' high pitch with a 0.5 slow motion speed.

He stopped the car off in front of the downtown view. It was amazing. A thousand of scattered dot lights were spread like fine sugar on top of an apple pie. LA was brighter and more sensational up here than the view from our lame flat. It was definitely right when my auntie said that you would get the better downtown LA from this heights. Right beside the Griffith. And plus, with a super moon peeked above, behind the ashen clouds.

We stood still before he suddenly moved and talked, which was making me into thinking.

“Too bad, no stars. Only a huge moon out there.”

I shook my head, chuckling. “No—no. I don’t want to see the stars nor the view. I just realized why i chose this place because I want to go to the place where Mia and Sebas met up for the last time, thinking about their life. Maybe, it could transfer me some energy to think about my future too.”

Before he asked who’s Mia and Sebas, he was already dragged me into the nearest bench where it took place beside an oak tree.

We sat. Looking up to the sky. Continued our blessed silence.

“You know,” I started with a smile, then i looked up finding his mesmerizing blue eyes watched me tensely. Since when, he was so good at it? it's fit him more than i’d ever thought it would be.

“Please don’t break this good moment, okay?” If you thought he didn't mean it, no— he slightly meant it.

            “No—no, i won’t,” i grinned my best smile, even i didn’t know if i did it right.

He nodded, yet i knew he was waiting for me to rant again.

“This place is supposed to be the most romantic place for them," It just slipped from my mouth.

I continued, i didn't know how to stop. "Since it's the last place they met before they stopped seeing each other for pursuing their own dreams. Mia’s being an actress in Paris. And Sebastian, comes back to work on his old dream.”

“If they both decided it together, then why?”

Because it turned out to be the last place they’re being a lover. They thought they saved it,”

He lifted an eyebrow, ‘save what?’ I quickly answered, “the relationship.”

“But alas, they left it somewhere in the past. So it’s not growing when the future has come to the present. Mia dropped it. She left it, and him.”

“So, do you want us to be ended like them? Don’t you?”

            “I don’t know.”

He gripped the railing bench tighter, I made him upset. A lot. And that was what i slightly wanted to do. Testing him on this tight situation. Sorry for being a jackass.

But i couldn't make it any longer, so I grabbed his freezing hand. And dragged his clenched jaw to look up to my teasing face.

Hey! I'm only pulling your leg, you know! I won’t!" i gulped a sip.

"I just want to see your handsome face turns into a greeny like a baby hulk.” I chuckled a bit. And he did too. He couldn’t stand a chance whenever i mocked him. He’s a good man.

“So why you brought us here in the last couple hours before we will not be meeting each other for years like them?”

“Because i want this moment to remind me to not being a 'Mia'. And you are not going to be a fool 'Sebas' who lets her go so easily after knowing she's already got her dreams right in the hands,"

He stared into my eyes—striking into my soul.

"I just want us to be the antithesis of their life.” I closed with a smile.

After he listened to me, we ended up holding hands—at least, we were feeling secured knowing how we gonna work to save our relationship in the future.
